When I first started this campaign, I made a personal appeal to several of my friends, family and colleagues to make a donation. As an added incentive, I promised to hold a monthly drawing (the first 3 months to start) for a $50 gift certificate to any of the following stores:

For each $50 donated (or portion thereof), each person would have one entry into the monthly drawing. In other words, if you donate $40 you get one entry into the drawing, if you donate $60, you get two. Those that don’t win any given month would have their entries stay in for the following month’s drawings.
